Wolf used to be part of Andros' army where he fought Star Fox again and again.

After Andross went into exile, Wolf went his own way and started a band of mercenaries called Star Wolf. He and his arch-rival, Fox McCloud, have actually fought side by side a little now and then ... but in the end, they still always meet as enemies.
