Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave Launches This Week, Exclusively On Nintendo Switch 2

The story of Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave begins as the world lies at the brink of ruin at the hands of a demon god. Faced with the monumental task of fighting alone, you as the main protagonist must help heroes from the past change their fate and lead them to the future for the final battle. 

Travel to the past to follow the paths of four Heroes on their interwoven journeys to the present, as they come to Dagsion, the capital city of the Dagdan Empire, to compete in the Heroic Games for the chance to be granted one wish:

• Cai: From the peaceful village of Ribeira, Cai sets out with his childhood friends to win the Heroic Games and save his imprisoned father.
• Dietrich: Washing ashore after an attack from an enormous monster, Dietrich decides to slake his thirst for battle by competing in the Heroic Games with new allies at his side.
• Theodora: Hailing from the kingdom of Saramis, Theodora leads her veteran retainers into battle to restore the honour of her goddess – the reviled Keeper of Death and Night – and defend the peace of her kingdom.
• Leda: Born into prestige and blessed with musical talent, Leda gives up everything to seek revenge against her father’s murderer. With companions in tow, she enters the Heroic Games after learning that the killer will be taking part.

Although players can guide one hero at a time, it’s possible to play multiple hero stories in parallel. At any time between matches, players can visit the Pale Raven’s perch in the city and swap to a different storyline, advancing towards the final battle as they see fit.

The four main heroes can use also special abilities called Blaze Arts at the cost of their health points. From a burst of otherworldly flames to the art of teleportation and more, employ these unique moves to turn the tide in battle.

Between matches, visit numerous locations within the city to get ready for what's to come. Recruit allies around town, receive Blessings at temples, hone skills at the Arena Plaza, build bonds of friendship at inns, and more. Or step into the unknown and venture outside the city to explore the wider continent of Dagda. Purchase local wares from towns, gather useful information for the adventure and to improve the party's abilities in battle. Delve into dungeons to collect materials for strengthening weapons, uncover treasure chests and defeat roaming enemies for experience.

When match day arrives, it will be time to take part in the Heroic Games and face competitors in battle. Some matches might involve unique rules or make use of terrain, so be prepared for anything.

For the first time in the Fire Emblem series, Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave can be played with mouse controls using Joy-Con 2 controllers. Intuitively move units across the battlefield, quickly access helpful information, and more, changing seamlessly between button and mouse controls.
