Nintendo Commemorates Mar10 Day With The Final Trailer For The Super Mario Galaxy Movie

Starting today, fans can open the free Nintendo Today! smart device app each day to unlock a digital Collectible Card based on the movie. Beginning April 1st, the app can be used to check in at participating theatres and unlock exclusive content, like digital photo frames.

Other MAR10 Day news includes three classic Mario games available today, the MAR10 Day Sale discounting a selection of games featuring Mario and friends, and more updates to come on Nintendo channels throughout the day.

Final trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie

Yesterday, Nintendo and Illumination revealed the final trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie during a Nintendo Direct presentation. Starting today, Nintendo will launch a variety of initiatives related to the film on Nintendo Today!, an app for smart devices that provides daily updates from Nintendo.

Since September 2025, Nintendo has been undertaking various initiatives for the Super Mario Bros. 40th anniversary, and this movie will be the centrepiece of the anniversary. Get ready for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie with Nintendo Today!, Nintendo’s free app for smart devices. Starting today, receive one digital Collectible Card from the movie by logging into the app and tapping the card daily. There are 40 different types to claim from now through to June 10^th. Beginning April 1^st, use your app to scan the poster for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie to check in at participating theatres and unlock exclusive content. A trio of classic Mario games to enjoy

For MAR10 Day, a trio of classic Mario games is coming today to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. Players can look forward to discovering Mario Clash and Mario’s Tennis, available for the first time in Europe via the Virtual Boy – Nintendo Classics collection for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch. Mario vs. Donkey Kong is also making the jump today onto Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Classics^*3 for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch. 

Additionally, Nintendo Music^*4 has been updated today to include the soundtrack from Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. Also, Tetris 99 fans can look forwards to the 52nd Maximus Cup next month, featuring a theme inspired by Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2.  Players can compete in online battles in Tetris 99 mode and collect at least 100 event points to unlock a new in-game theme. The event runs from on Friday, April 3^rd at 09:00 CEST through to Tuesday, April 7^th at 08:59 CEST.  

Discounts featuring Mario and friends in the MAR10 Day Sale

A selection of digital games featuring Mario and friends are available at discounted prices on Nintendo eShop and My Nintendo Store during the MAR10 Day Sale, running until March 15^th, 23:59 LT.

They include Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV, which adds new modes and ways to play to the jam-packed celebration on Nintendo Switch 2. Super Mario Party Jamboree for Nintendo Switch is also discounted.

On Nintendo Switch, the sale also features a world of Mario fun in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, and a ghostly and gooey quest in Luigi’s Mansion 3 and Luigi's Mansion 3 + Multiplayer Pack. Other discounted titles include Super Mario Maker 2, in which fans can make the Super Mario courses they’ve always dreamed of, a barrelful of platforming fun in Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, and Super Mario RPG, the first-ever Mario RPG, overhauled for Nintendo Switch.
